I agree with your idea about Kate. She needed her constant just like farraday did. WHo goes to all the trouble she went through to get a memory? (ie the airplane).

Also, I believed when Kate followed Jack and i forget who into the jungle to meet the OTHERS at the “line” she went soley for the purpose of thwarting any action or at least to warn the OTHERS that they were on their way…..

Well, I wasn’t thrilled with this last episode either. Flash sideways are boring. We should have seen more dialogue with Sayid and Flocke. Too much is being left out — conversations w/ Claire, whereabouts of Jim and Sawyer, etc. I am sure there is a purpose to it, but it is NOT building suspense as well as it could. Moreover, the dialogue is choppy, the monster comes through too quickly (rustling and sounds should preceded it for longer).

Shorten (not eliminate) the side flashes and deepen the island time so we can get to know these new temple characters and care if they die. Did anyone care if Dogen died? No, because we don’t know hill well.

Not everyone has the same opinion and the poll at DarkUFO indicated that the majority of real lost fans thought this was an AWSOME episode. I thought this episode much more exciting in the LOST tradition than last weeks and much more intense. Flashsideways episode’s have all been SUPERBORING and last week’s was no exception. Big Deal! So Jack Shepard has a kid, well La De Fricken Da! This was the first flash sideways that wasn’t so boring. Not everyone want’s to always watch Jack Shepard sit around and brood and feel bad. So with that said, SO I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE JEREMY BUT YOUR FULL OF CRAP AND I DON’T CARE IF YOU AND THE POWERS THAT BE BAN ME FOR SAYING IT, BUT YOUR OPINIONS ARE NOT IN LINE WITH THE MAJORITY OF LOST FANS. IT’S FUNNY HOW AN INSIGNIFICANT PERSON LIKE YOU JEREMY THINKS HE HAS A HANDLE ON WISDOM.

I think he meant that he stabbed Flocke before he spoke about his proposition to Sayid regarding Nadia. Not before he physically spoke.

flash sideways are very boring indeed, i thought of fast forwarding them to be honest but keep waiting for them to link in with the island thing somehow. Its still lost with some excellent scenes but now its like watching two unrelated shows with only 20mins or so of island time and the island is the biggest character of the show. I think the writers took a gamble playing it this way and its not working, we’re in the last season lets have 40 minutes of pure island time instead of this back and forth.

Mostly agree. Very underwhelming. Feels like a show that has jumped that shark but I just don’t want to admit it because I love it so much. I found Sayid’s flash sideways incredibly dull and the whole Smokey recruitment effort seemed way too easy. These temple people are just glorified log carriers. I’ll keep watching but I don’t have that episode-to-episode anticipation anymore.

I thought it was interesting that Sayid lied to Dogen about stabbing Flocke before he spoke. Flocke came out of the woods, said “Hello Sayid” before Sayid stabbed him. Not only that, but Sayid didn’t even hesistate before lying.

A little too much violence for me. I guess it was at least exciting. And they killed off the “new guys”, who were irritating. I think the scene at the end where Locke is leading away a band of misfits is getting a little too familiar.

Juliet might be a candidate to be David’s mom. Blue eyes. Check. She is old enough to have possibly had a kid that old. And considering we think she will bump into Sawyer and ask him out for coffee, well, that will repeat the “Jack involved with her now Sawyer involved with her pattern”. Lets see what we will see!

I was under the impression that Jacob set up the whole lighthouse thing, just to make Jack realize how important he is. He just wanted Jack to look into the mirrors and to get Hurley and Jack away from the temple.
