LOST Season 5 limited edition Dharma Initiation Kit DVD boxed set contest winner announcement!
December 7, 2009
As we mentioned previously in our contest announcement, we’re thrilled to be able to give one lucky fan a free LOST Season 5 limited edition Dharma Initiation Kit DVD boxed set. We asked the following question:
How do you think LOST will end?
We have scrutinized the various entries we received and have chosen a winner. The winning entry came from Geraldine, who wrote:
Jack & Locke are embodied by Jacob/MiB, becoming the 2 new players. They both ultimately become the island’s puppets.
We think this idea is feasible and that it carries out the idea of a loop or circle, which has been speculated about since the show’s inception. When we contacted Geraldine, she was proud to announce that she had already won a similar contest on a different website and that she would be happy to give another LOST fan an opportunity. With that being said, our new winner is Laura, whose wrote:
The plane from Sidney to LAX lands as if the crash never happened, but all passengers carry the memory of the crash and everything that happened.
Laura had a few supporting comments, but in compliance with the 120 character restriction, her statement above applies. We liked this idea because Darlton has maintained all along that LOST can be summed up as a story of redemption. Darlton has also maintained that the stakes and peril are real, and we think Laura’s idea embodies the spirit of redemption while rendering the travails of our Losties as real in the sense that they will help dictate the future for our Losties. This idea also would certainly fuel years of debates as to how our Losties use their experience to shape the rest of their lives.
Thanks to all the entrants!
